Low-resolution spectra have been obtained for RR Lyrae stars in or near the globular clusters 47 Tuc, NGC 288, NGC 5897, NGC 5904, NGC 6333, NGC 6717, and Pal 5. The metal-abundance index ΔS has been determined for these variables. Combining these with previous ΔS measurements, the authors compared the [Fe/H]ΔS values of globular clusters with properties that depend, in whole or in part, on the location of the red giant branch.
