Precise positions, relative to either the AGK3 Catalogue or the Perth 70 Catalogue, were obtained for the optical counterparts of 23 sources south of δ ≡ +12°, with accuracy levels of ≡0arcsec.2 in both coordinates. Nineteen of these objects are included in the IAU Commission 24 list of radio/optical astrometric sources for the establishment of an inertial reference system.
