Attention is given to the results of new measurements of the emission relation of Ca(+)8542 and H-beta, which indicate that the emission ratio E(Ca/+/8542)/E(H-beta), at about 0.16, is significantly lower than the value of about 0.3 obtained by Landsman et al. (1977). The presently undertaken comparison of these results with those of the Heasley and Milkey (1978) model indicates that a much higher value of the gas pressure, approximately 0.1 dyn/sq cm, must be assumed in order to match the observed lower ratio.
