The longitudinal band spacing and periodicity are derived for the drifting subpulse patterns of PSR's 0943+10 and 2303+30. The ambiguity in drift direction is investigated theoretically. It is suggested that PSR 0943+10 is an example of a pulsar where the subpulses drift from the ascending slope of the mean pulse to the descending one. Two distinct drift systems, differing in both parameters, are found for PSR 2303+30.
