Measurements of the H56-alpha radio line of excited hydrogen have been
carried out for the Orion nebula, W3, W12, W51, and DR-21. Electron
temperatures obtained are lower than those obtained by observations of
longer wavelengths with allowance for deviations from LTE. An electron
temperature of 7000 to 7300 K is determined for the Orion nebula.
