Long term variations in Jupiter's radio emission at a wavelength of 11 cm are examined on the basis of five series of observations, consisting of measurements of the total flux, fractional polarization, and position angle of the linearly polarized component as a function of Jovian longitude. The data from each type of measurement are analyzed by fitting a 7 parameter Fourier series. The flux density of the emission in Jupiter's magnetic equatorial plane decreased by about 15% between 1963 and 1970 and subsequently increased by about 5%. It is suggested that these variations are the result of a slow decrease in the number of electrons with high equatorial pitch angles and a small periodic variation due to changes in the angle between Jupiter's rotational axis and the plane of the sky.
