We present the results of HST STIS spectroscopy of 10 early type galaxies proposed in Cycle 7. The G750M grating was used to observe the Ca II stellar absorption lines. Three techniques were used to derive the stellar losvd (line of sight velocity distribution) from the Ca II lines. The spectra have a S/N of 25-30/ Angstroms in most cases, which results in 5% errors on central velocity dispersion, and 15 km s-1 errors on velocities. These errors allow precision modelling of the central black hole masses and stellar orbits. We present the profiles of velocity, velocity dispersion, and also the higher moments of the losvd (H3, H4) along the major axes of all 10 galaxies. For one galaxy, NGC 4697, we also have a STIS spectrum at 6581 Angstroms allowing a comparison of the gas kinematics (using [NII] emission) with the stellar kinematics. We acknowledge support from HST grant GO-07388.01 and LTSA grant NAG5-8238 to D. Richstone.
