We present single-star photometry of UGCA 290, a nearby blue dwarf galaxy traditionally described as an interacting binary. Cycle 8 HST/WFPC2 observations resolve thousands of individual stars in this galaxy, allowing the construction of a color magnitude diagram (CMD) to an absolute magnitude of approximately MI = -2.5. In addition to the bimodal starburst, we find a scattered distribution of older red giant stars. Comparing these data with synthetic CMDs, we discuss the star-formation history of this galaxy. Based on observations with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. Support for this work was provided by NASA through grant number GO-08122.02-97A from the STScI, which is operated by AURA, Inc. under NASA contract NAS5-26555.
