Using the VLA at a wavelength of 6 cm, a 2 x 2 arcmin region centered on V 645 Cyg (GL 2789), was mapped. No continuum source was found in the immediate vicinity of V 645 Cyg at a level of 2 mJy. This upper limit places constraints on the parameters of any H II region associated with V 645 Cyg. An unresolved (equal to or less than 0.5 arcsec) source with a flux density of 8 mJy displaced approximately 50 arcmin to the southeast of V 645 Cyg was detected. The possible relationship between this source and V 645 Cyg is discussed. The CO emission profile shows moderately broad (15 km/s) wings. The blueshifted and redshifted emission comes from spatially unresolved (equal to or less than 1 arcmin) regions that are centered on V 645 Cyg to within observational error (15 arcsec). The presence of these CO emission wings strengthens the suggestion that V 645 Cyg is a recently formed early-type star.
