In order to classify the emission-line activity of very faint galaxies, we present a new classification method based on low spectral-resolution (lambda /Delta lambda ~ 50) spectroscopic data. Our new method enables us to classify faint emission-line objects with B < 26, which will be obtained by using deep optical and near-infrared spectroscopy with an 8-m class of telescope facilities.
