It is shown that non-Schwarzschild gravitational lenses can create a previously unnoticed second region of strong focusing. However, it is noted that this region is substantially reduced when diffraction blurring is taken into account. Possibilities of observing the gravitational focusing effect, especially the focusing of gravitational waves and neutrinos, are considered.
