Line profile variability has been detected in the UV and visual spectra of the B0.5 Ia supergiant Kappa Orionis. Several UV observations of the O VI and N V doublets, of the Si III-1206 A resonance line and of the C III-1175 A metastable line, obtained with the highest resolution mode of the Copernicus satellite, and quasi-simultaneous H-alpha coude observations have been compared. The variability pattern of the UV resonance lines and of C III is remarkably similar when one compares the absorption part of their P Cygni profiles; H-alpha shows changes in extension of the absorption wings and depth of the reversal, which in one case is observed in emission. A relation between some of the H-alpha changes and a simultaneous episode of flux increase in the C III-1175 A line at about -150 km/s is suggested.
