Results are reported of a search for the HCN line which appears between l-doubling components of the J = 2 level of the (0, 1 super 1, 0) vibration system in the IR star IRC + 10216 at the 1346.8-MHz frequency. Observations were made in May 1990 and May 1991 with the RATAN-600 radio telescope. No line emission with an accuracy of 100 mJy at the 2-sigma level was found.
