I present a weak lensing analysis of 40 X-ray luminous clusters of galaxies in the redshift range 0.15 < z < 0.35. Imaging in two colors using both mosaic and monolithic CCD cameras is used to measure the gravitational shear effect on faint background galaxies in the cluster fields. Virtually every cluster give a significant weak lensing signal. The relative distribution of dark and luminous matter in each cluster is studied, and the dark matter content of the clusters, as measured using weak lensing, is related to their optical and X-ray properties. Implications for the density parameter Ω 0 will be discussed. I also present a weak lensing analysis based on an HST WFPC2 mosaic of the massive lensing cluster Abell 1689, covering an area of about 8'x10' in two colors. I compare these results to previous weak lensing studies of this cluster based on ground-based images.
