Two-Temperature Trapped Electrons, Dusty Plasma, Solitary Wave

Scientific paper

Formation of large amplitude dust ion-acoustic (DIA) solitary waves are investigated in a multicomponent dusty plasma whose constituents are warm ions, two-temperature trapped electrons and negatively charged dust grains. The fluid dynamical system of equations governing the dynamics of DIA waves is reduced to a pseudo energy-balance equation. The existence and basic properties of arbitrary amplitude DIA solitary waves are thus investigated via a Sagdeev potential approach. It is shown that the solitary structures are significantly affected by low- and high-temperature trapped electrons, as well as by ion temperature. It is also found that only positive potential DIA solitary structures are observed in such a plasma.
