New collision strengths for transitions among the 1s2 2s2 2p2 terms of Ne v are calculated permitting effective collision strengths to be estimated up to temperatures of approximately 20,000 K. Results for transitions between the ground state 1s2 2s2 2p2 3P(J) (J = 0, 1, 2) levels agree well with previous work by Aggarwal implying that difficulties in interpreting observed Ne v line ratios do not arise from inaccurate atomic data.
