Results are presented on a subset of proper motion data with absolute value of mu greater than about 0.04 arcsec/yr from the APM Proper Motion Project. Comparisons made with the NLTT catalog show that the levels of contamination and in completeness in this catalog are consistent with the random measuring errors in the proper motions. No signficant zero-point offset is found in the NLTT proper motions with respect to that defined by galaxies. Reduced proper motions in the four fields studied are found to be very effective in distinguishing between various stellar populatinos when combined with color information. The kinematic properties of these populations are investigated. From the white dwarf sample, a luminosity function is derived which is in very good agreement with that of Liebert, Dahn, and Monet.
