The Square-Kilometre-Array (SKA) represents the future of radio astronomy and will have a profound impact on a wide range of science. In particular, it will completely change the field of pulsar astronomy, providing not only a vast number of sources that can be studied but will also deliver an unprecedented sensitivity and timing precision for such studies. The result will be applications impossible with current technology, for example, in the field of gravitational physics. With the SKA we will study the nHz-gravitational wave sky, will probe the properties of gravitational waves and will also establish the properties of black holes.
