The Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT) has recently revealed a large population of γ-ray emitting MSPs (Millisecond Pulsars) in our Galaxy. We present a model to describe the population of MSPs observed by the Fermi-LAT and used to derive constraints on the total number and spatial distribution of γ-ray emitting MSPs present in the Galaxy. We also predict a diffuse emission component from unresolved Galactic MSPs that contributes to the overall diffuse γ-ray emission from our Galaxy. This diffuse emission component should be discernible from the cosmic-ray induced emission due to its characteristic exponentially cut-off power law spectral shape.
