Eight-color photometry was obtained of the bright (trailing) side of Iapetus during 1983-1985. The visible and geometric albedo were derived for a radius of 720 km for different central meridian longitudes. The latitude of the visible center varied from + 6 to + 10 deg. The maximum value of the albedo (0.47) is larger than the the value obtained previously (0.42) which was obtained for a latitude of the visible center of -6 to -12 deg.
