The dynamics and structure of the bright compact formations in Jupiter's
dark equatorial belt are described on the basis of high-resolution
photographic images. The recurrence of changes in the observed cloudy
structure is noted. It is shown that a seasonal mechanism resulting in
the recurrence of cloud-formation processes is possible.
