Scientific paper
The conference presents papers on EISCAT progress during 1983-1985, the calibration of electron densities for the EISCAT UHF radar, the use of multipulsed zero lag data to improve incoherent scatter radar profile accuracy, and EISCAT observations of the ionospheric D-region during auroral radio absorption events. Other topics include neutral atmosphere studies in the altitude range 90-110 km using EISCAT, the deconvolution of ionospheric parameters in the F1-region, and measurements of plasma velocity at different heights along a magnetic field line. Consideration is also given to neutral temperature and winds from EISCAT CP-3 observations, thermospheric wind measurementes with EISCAT, and EISCAT observations of the heated ionosphere.
