The problem of the linear polarization of the forbidden coronal lines is considered for the fine-structural inner solar corona. For the plasma densities of the coronal arches observed (ne ≈ 109cm-3 at h ⪉ 0.2 R_sun;) the expected polarization degrees of λ5303 Å Fe XIV and λ10747 Å Fe XIII lines without magnetic field are 0% and ⪉7%, respectively. Therefore the λ5303 Å line is not informative for the purpose of the coronal magnetic field analysis. Polarization measurements of λ10747 Å can provide information on the geometry of the magnetic fields of the inner corona in the plane of the sky if ne < 3×109cm-3. More reliable coronal magnetic field topology can be obtained from the comparison of λ5303 Å pictures and the photospheric magnetic field- and Hα-charts. The polarization observations of the λ5303 Å and λ10747 Å lines combined with λ5303 Å pictures of high spatial resolution can be used for ne diagnostics in the coronal arches.
