Broadband photometry in BVRI colors is presented for 120 nearby dwarf K and M stars, most of which have no previous photometry. This is the first contribution in a program to obtain magnitudes and colors of all stars in the lists of dwarf stars by Vyssotsky as well as the nearer stars without photometry in the catalog of nearby stars. Completion of the program will help to evaluate more precisely the selection effects in the Van Vleck program of parallaxes and proper motions.
