We examine the recent analysis by Gerbal et al. (1992a), of x- ray clusters, in light of the modified dynamics (MOND). We point out some consequential errors, and explain that the results are subject to considerable uncertainties, most of which are not acknowledged by the authors. These result from poorly known system parameters that are central to the analysis, and from unjustified assumptions. All these invalidate the stated results of the analysis. We describe the correct course for analyzing these system, which may provide-with more detailed x-ray and optical data-an important test of MOND.
