There occurred very large solar proton events during period from August
to October 1989. Space Environment Monitor data of the 3rd Japanese
Geostationary Meteorological Satellite (GMS-3) were used to study these
events. The energy regions are 4 - 68 MeV for protons and 8 - 370 MeV
for alphas, respectively.
