Explicit analytical formulae for tidal velocities in star components of a binary system are obtained. Compressibility and viscosity of the stellar matter and the inclination of the star axis of rotation to the orbital plane are taken into account. The polytropic model of the star is used. Numerical values of radial, azimuthal and tangential components of the tidal velocity are obtained for main sequence stars.
