The morphology of 30 flat spectrum, relatively faint, low surface brightness galaxies is briefly analyzed using good images of five rich galaxy fields obtained with excellent seeing. These objects do not belong to a single population and can be classified in three types depending on their compactness and multiplicity. Specifically, there is: (a) a class of compact objects surrounded by a nebulosity, (b) a class of irregular objects with probable isophote distortions at the limit of resolution, and (c) double or multiple systems. This suggests that the blue colors of these objects are not governed by a single mechanism and, as a consequence, their current fate may not have a single origin. It is for example possible that nuclear activity, chaotic star formation, and merging are responsible of the blue colors in compact, irregular and multiple systems, respectively.
