A new third catalogue of uvby-β photometry for 446 high- velocity and metal-poor stars, observed at the Observatorio Astronomico Nacional, San Pedro Martir, Mexico, has been finished and is being prepared for publication. Of these, 87 are stars repeated from our previous catalogues, allowing an analysis of the accuracy and precision of these new data compared to the previous data. There are more than 1600 stars within the three photometric catalogues. Also, the kinematics of this data base are being brought up to date taking proper motions from Hipparcos, PPM, NLTT, ..., radial velocities from Carney et al. (1994), Ryan & Norris (1991), Fouts & Sandage (1986), ..., and distances from our photometric calibration and from the trigonometric parallaxes of Hipparcos. Complete and reliable kinematic data are available for more than 1500 of the high-velocity and metal-poor stars. This data base is being used to check, redo, and improve our photometric calibration for the absolute magnitudes and distances, and also refine our analysis of the kinematics of the Galactic halo and thick-disk stars, using diagrams such as the Bottlinger, energy-Toomre, V(rot) vs [Fe/H], and W vs V(rot). This project has been partially supported by grants from CONACyT (Mexico) and from the DGAPA (UNAM).
