We will present a new Chandra X-ray image of the dwarf starburst galaxy NGC 1569 and discuss starburst-driven mass loss from low mass galaxies. The spatial correlation between soft X-ray emission and hydrogen alpha emission is striking, and we will discuss the origin of the X-ray emission in the context of theoretical models for galactic winds. Such winds may play an important role in the chemical evolution of dwarf galaxies and the intergalactic medium. We discuss where the metals produced by the the starburst in NGC 1569 likely reside and place constraints on the metallicity of the X-ray emitting gas detected by Chandra. This work is supported by NASA through the Chandra General Observer Program.
