Limb Darkening, Solar Limb, Solar Spectra, Analytic Functions, Approximation

Scientific paper

Measurements obtained by many authors are used to determine mean values
for solar limb darkening. These data can be replaced by an approximate
function with three parameters depending on the wavelength without
increasing the error. The proposed analytical form of mean values is
convenient for practical application.
