If heat transport by weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) is the solution to the solar neutrino problem, these WIMPs would also be extremely efficient at transporting momentum. They would cause the region of the sun interior to a critical radius to rotate in a distinctive fashion, usually rigidly. The critical radius may be as great as about 0.5 solar radius for the lightest WIMPs. The boundary between the affected and unaffected regions would be extremely sharp, less than about 0.2 solar radius. This characteristic rotation profile could be observed or ruled out given sufficient improvement in the measurement of the azimuthal splitting of solar p-modes.
