Maps are presented of the nearby spiral galaxy Maffei 2 in the (C-13)O J = 1-0 transition at 6-7 arcsec resolution. The maps indicate that the molecular clouds in the nucleus form a barlike structure that is remarkably well correlated with the radio continuum from the starburst. It is argued that this structure is probably due to one-armed spiral density wave. Two kinematically distinct components are seen within this molecular material: the center, which is compact and rotating rapidly with a steep velocity gradient, and the extended bar, which has a flattened rotation curve.
