The present paper investigates the excess infrared flux observed in the J, H, and K bands for the object Feige 34. The flux is modeled in terms of cool main sequence companions and dust clouds. The sdO contribution is subtracted from the combined observed flux as a function of wavelength assuming that all of the flux in the V band at effective wavelength 5450 A is due to the subdwarf. The fluxes are converted to magnitudes and the colors of the infrared excess are derived. It is found that a stellar companion best fits the existing observational material - X-ray, optical and infrared. The results of a search for radial velocity variations are also discussed.
