The present investigation of the galactic chemical evolution of Li assumes Li production to be due to the evolution of intermediate mass stars during their short asymptotic giant branch (AGB) lifetime, and/or the evolution of nova systems; attention is also given to C-13 production within the same framework. Good agreement with observational data is obtainable through the adoption of a model that encompasses Li production by both novae and AGB stars; C-13/C-12 is also well reproduced, as is the gradient of this abundance ratio along the galactic disk. The model predicts an increase of Li abundance by a factor of 2 in the last 4.5 Gyr.
