Exosat observations have yielded 0.1-10.0 keV X-ray spectra for two nearby QSOs, Mrk 205 and Mrk 1148; simple power law models whose line-of-sight absorptions are consistent with the 21-cm survey values can account for both of the X-ray sources. No indication is found of intrinsic absorption in the sources, and no line features are detected in their X-ray spectra, and the data do not entail the presence of soft excess in the sources.
