The Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) is a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to providing educational and research access to radio and optical astronomers. PARI maintains a radio observatory and an all-sky survey 0.20-m remote controllable optical telescope. PARI has expanded its observing spectrum to radio wavelengths by upgrading one of two 26-m, X-Y antennas with sidereal-tracking motors and radio continuum receivers. Two radio receivers are now available: one centered on the 21-cm line of hydrogen, and the other centered at 6-cm. A doppler-tracking, software spectrometer is available for observing galactic HI spectra. Receivers at 5, 2.5, and 2 cm (centered on unique radio molecular lines) are also under construction. A 4.6-m antenna is being upgraded for remote operation at 21 cm, 6 cm and 2 cm. The primary goal of both instruments is for education, demonstration, and research in radio astronomy at the secondary school and college level. The 0.20-m optical telescope is dedicated to a unique three year infrared sky survey aimed to find M-dwarf eclipsing binaries. In addition to its main objective, the survey will yield infrared light curves for all the variable stars brighter than I magnitude of 14 to 15 in the covered fields.
