The efficiency of mass transfer and outflow in close binaries is derived. The consequences of the spin angular momentum of components on the derived quantities of the component's mass transferred/lost are discussed. The efficiency coefficient is given for different mass ratios. The mass outflow from the Lagrangian L2 point is shown to be very efficient for low mass ratio systems.
