A global iteration method to determine the self-consistent structure of steady plane-parallel radiative shock waves is shown to converge to the stable solution with upstream front velocities of 15 km/s ≤ U 1≤ 60 km/s and for hydrogen gas of unperturbed temperature T= 3000 K and density ρ = 10-10gcm-3.
