Recently, there have been several discoveries of global trends within the population of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) including the anti-correlation of peak luminosity with GRB pulse lag, the anti-correlation of inferred isotropic energy with afterglow jet-break time, and the linear correlation of pulse lag with jet-break time. These relations have raised interest in the possibility of a unified GRB model in which this range of observations is due to a range of angles made by the jet axis of a single, structured jet. Such a structured relativistic jet will have the fastest material moving along the axis of the jet and slower material at larger angles. Numerical models will be shown of lightcurves of afterglows generated by these jets as seen at various angles of inclination. This work was performed under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Energy by University of California Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory under contract W-7405-ENG-48.
