We investigate the X-ray emission from z ~ 5 galaxies detected in our deep V,I, and z' images covering the general area of Hubble/Chandra Deep Field-North (CDF-N) obtained using the Suprime-Cam attached to the prime focus of the SUBARU telescope. This set of filters have been chosen in order to create a comprehensible catalog of z ~ 5 galaxies using the Lyman break technique and our preliminary catalog contains ~ 170 candidates over the Suprime-Cam FOV, covering most of CDF-N. We report the preliminary results of our search for X-ray emission associated with those galaxies by means of source matching and stacking analysis of the ≈ 1.4 Ms (and possibly ≈ 2 Ms) of Chandra observations.
