New VLA and CCD data are incorporated with previous observations to investigate the alignment of radio and optical axes of radio-emitting early-type galaxies. A comparison of observations with simulations modelling the random projection effects of different geometries on the sky shows that there is no strong physical relation of radio axis with a particular stellar axis. This result is true for both triaxial and axially-symmetric galaxies.
