The Cayley-Darboux (1872 and 1898) problem for the Roche model of binaries is studied. Roche coordinates are defined as continuations of asymptotically spherical coordinates which are perpendicular to the equipotential layers, but not mutually perpendicular. These coordinates are then obtained in the form of a power series of potential for the general case of nonsynchronous binaries with eccentric orbits.
