It has been shown that in some Seyferts in the light curves of which flash and slowly varying components are prominent (components I and II), the amplitude of flux variations of component I is proportional to the flux of component II. Since components I and II are identical in colour features, it is very probably that variability is caused by a single slowly varying and fluctuating source.
