The results are presented of analyzing the relative importance of particle fluxes (of different origin) in the interplanetary space during different solar activity periods. The analysis is in terms of the galactic cosmic ray and solar energetic particle flux models developed at Moscow State University. In particular, the solar energetic particle model describes, to within a high accuracy, the solar energetic protons measured during so-called ``quiet'' Sun periods, as well as the high-energy proton fluxes observed during ground level events. .
