Four review papers presented at the joint scientific session of December 28-29, 1983, are presented in summary form. Topics considered include precision structural studies of crystals with special physical properties, problems in current research on the mechanical properties of crystals, the physics and spectroscopy of laser crystals, and the possibility of neutrino and muon detection using radio radiation from cascades in naturally occuring dielectric media such as the Antarctic ice sheet.
