The authors describe the UV spectra of the 4 double nucleus Markarian
galaxies Mkn 266, 463, 673, 1027. The first 3 of these objects have
nonthermal nuclei and Seyfert or Liner characteristics in the line
spectra of the component nuclei. Mkn 1027 has an absorption line
spectrum typical for extragalactic H II regions.
