Preliminary results about the analysis of IUE spectra of S0 galaxies in terms of far-UV excess are given. For the two S0 galaxies considered: NGC 5102 (gas-rich) and NGC 3115 (gas poor), a comparison with optical as well as UV stellar continua gives a uniform stellar population respectively A3 and G2. The UV excesses, normalized to the V band, represent a very low fraction (1 - 2%) of the total emitted energy.
