Vranceanu (1936) has introduced the intrinsic description of a three-dimensional vector field in terms of anholonomic coordinates. Intrinsic relations along the vortex line triad were obtained by Indrasena (1978), who studied the properties of steady rotating hydromagnetic flows. The present investigation is concerned with a study of the complex lamellar motion and the Beltrami flow for rotating magnetofluids by means of a procedure involving the decomposition of the governing equations along the vortex line triad. Attention is given to the conditions for which the vortex lines are straight lines normal to the Maxwellian surface.
