It is shown that current models of galactic chemical evolution constrain the time scale for synthesis of iron in old stars, so that observations of lithium in extreme metal-poor stars can be used to limit the possible astration factor of primordial Li-6. It is concluded that any nonstandard light element nucleosynthesis model which overproduces Li-6/Li-7 by up to an order of magnitude is severely constrained by generally accepted galactic chemical evolution models.
